Photo by Economy Awards Co.MISSION, TXJANUARY 24, 2010JEH Stallion Station's MIGHTY INVICTUS first unofficial race starter won his trial and qualified to the $64,650 Royal Shak Em Futurity on Sunday afternoon at Las Palmas Downs. Racing for El Valle Racing Stables, Aritas won the seventh of 13 trials in :13.325 to post the fifth fastest clocking from 65 two-year-olds who went to the post. They will return Super Bowl Sunday (February 7th) to compete in the finals. Bred in Texas by Jim and Marilyn Helzer, Aritas was purchased for $8,000 in the Eclipse Select Yearling Sale on August 8th by Jose Espinoza. He is out of the First Down Dash mare Rosies Chickarita. MIGHTY INVICTUS won or placed in 16 of 17 starts at 2 and 3 while earning $303,137. The grade 1 winner of the Dash For Cash Derby(G1) was also third in the Ruidoso Derby(G1) and a finalist in the All American Futurity(G1), All American Derby(G1), Rainbow Futurity(G1), Texas Classic Derby(G1) and Remington Futurity(G1). He stands at JEH Stallion Station's Oklahoma-Division and his first crop of two-year-olds are racing in 2010.
